Institutional Partners

Boston University – Integral to our founding, Boston University and its students remain critical partners in our work. Our summer investigative reporting program for high school students was transferred to Boston University in 2019; NECIR reporters and editors continue teach courses at Boston University’s College of Communication, and we recruit student interns from BU’s undergraduate and graduate school.

WGBH – Partnered with us in our quest to hold the powerful accountable, WGBH is now the permanent host of NECIR. Our reporters and editors are based out of the WGBH News newsroom in Brighton, and our work regularly appears on its website and airwaves. NECIR and WGBH News collaborate on radio content related to our investigations, as well as on events and other initiatives to enhance the quality and reach of our reporting.

Publishing and Broadcast Partners

NECIR also relies on partner organizations to maximize the impact of our reporting. Our work has been published and broadcast by some of the largest and most powerful outlets in the country, as well as in some of the most relevant regional outlets in New England.
